I know what you’re thinking… “all this girl talks about is coffee!”  But today’s post isn’t really about lattes, it’s more about what I learnt, after trying a lavender latte for the first time today.

I’ll get to the learning shortly, but first, let me tell you about this magical purple drink – the lavender latte.

So, it’s a drink along the same lines as a turmeric latte or a chai latte.  It’s a warm, steamed milk drink, with a touch of sweetness and the essence of lavender.  It’s purple in colour, fragrant and floral and just delicious!  I know that it’s not going to be everyone’s “cup of tea” (pardon the pun), but for anyone who enjoys jasmine tea, rose turkish delight, or any other food that’s floral, this might be worth a try!  Plus, it’s caffeine-free!  Bonus!

Now, back to the learning…

I’m a creature of habit, so I tend to order the same thing at cafes (decaf coconut latte), but today my Mum and I went to a cafe that didn’t have a coffee machine!  This is a new vegetarian cafe in Tweed Heads, Sozo Square with a focus on healthy whole foods and healthy drinks too!

So, I was faced with a menu that didn’t have a coconut latte on it!  And I had to try something new!  So I ordered the lavender latte, nervously, hoping that I wouldn’t regret my decision!  I’m so glad that I ordered this lavender latte as it was delicious!

It’s made me think about where else I should step out and try something new?  Am I missing out on really cool stuff simply because I’m staying in my comfort zone?  What exciting opportunities would surprise me, if I simply did things differently?

Tell me, are you stepping outside your comfort zone?  How?  I’d love to hear from you below!
